Gyrus v17.x allows administrators to create custom course completion certificates and apply them to trainings via the “Select Certificate” drop-down in the training setup.
Custom certificates are managed through DevExpress, a third-party reporting tool. DevExpress provides tutorials and resources for designing and editing reports. Additional guidance is available in KB628: Ad-Hoc Reporting in the Gyrus Help Library.
From your Dashboard or Navigation Menu, click Reporting to open the report module.
Navigate to Custom Type and select the Certificate Template tab.
Click the Add (+) button to create a new certificate template.
The Add New Report/Certificate popup will appear. Fill in the required fields and click Save.
The Report Help Wizard will open. You can either:
Let the wizard guide you step-by-step, or
Select Create report using wizard and refer to KB628: Ad-Hoc Reporting or DevExpress Tutorials if needed.
The Report Designer will open, allowing you to design and edit the certificate template.
Tip: To change the background image
Ensure the correct template is selected in Properties.
Click the 3 dots in the image field to browse and select a new image.
Once created, a custom certificate can be applied to new or existing trainings. If applied to a training already completed by learners, the updated certificate will appear on their transcripts.
Open the training setup page for the course.
From the Select Certificate dropdown, choose your custom certificate template.
Click the three-bar menu (⋮) next to the certificate name.
Select Delete to remove the certificate.
Note: Certificates that have already been applied to a training cannot be deleted.
