This article is for v17.x of the GyrusAim LMS application. 

Summary

The GyrusAim Dashboard serves as the landing page for all users in GyrusAim. The dashboard is configurable based on assigned roles, role permissions set under the configuration menu, and individual widget preferences. It provides users with streamlined navigation to key features and functionalities.


Admin View

The default Admin Dashboard presents configurable widgets organized into functional Panels such as:

  • Quick Setup: Provides quick access to frequently used features.

  • Analytics: View training activity trends over time.

  • AI Maintenance: Maintain the GyrusAim learning environment and prevent errors.

  • Current Status: View total users, license usage, and certification statuses.

  • Training Requirements: View total assigned trainings and trainings completed.

Top Navigation Features

  • Global Search: Locate courses, users, or other system elements.

  • Switch to Learner: Toggle to access learner tools.

  • Wizard: Launch guided setup tools.

  • Help Docs: Access the Knowledge Base Library.

  • Classroom Calendar: View scheduled training sessions.

  • Messages: Manage communication notifications.

  • Account Settings: Customize your user preferences.

Widget Management

To customize the Admin Dashboard:

  1. Select the Rubik’s cube icon below the Profile Menu.

  2. Toggle widgets left to remove or right to add them.

  3. Reset widgets back to the default configuration if needed.

  • Click the 3-Bar icon at the top left to access all tools and modules.

  • Expand menu sections using the dropdown arrows to reveal related options.

  • The Manage section contains links to Manager and Instructor Panels if those roles are assigned.

Switching Views

Admins can click the Switch to Learner toggle to access learner tools. Selecting Switch to Admin from the learner view returns users to the Admin dashboard.

 


Learner View

The Learner Dashboard provides a streamlined interface to manage assigned and optional courses, track statistics, and access badges and activity feeds when Gamification and Social Media are enabled.

Key Panels

  • My Main Statistics: Provides an overview of in-progress and completed trainings, along with earned badges.
  • My Schedule: Displays a list of enrolled instructor-led classes.
  • Learning Status:
    • In Progress: Access ongoing courses.
    • Not Started: View courses that have not yet begun.
  • Recent Badges: Displays earned badges if Gamification is enabled.
  • Leaderboard: Shows rankings and points if Gamification is enabled.
  • Assigned Trainings:
    • Recently Assigned: 10 latest courses assigned that are in a Not Started status.
    • Due: Courses with upcoming completion deadlines.
    • Overdue: Courses past their due dates.
  • Activity Feed: Displays the latest posts. Click View All to see more.
  • Quick Links

    • Course Catalog: Browse available courses.
    • IDP: Access the Individual Development Plan for assigned courses.
    • My Enrollments: View enrolled courses.
  1. Certifications: Manage and track certifications.


  • Accessed via the 3-Bar icon at the top left.

  • Provides direct links to key learner modules and the course catalog.

  • The Course Catalog is only accessible from Learner view.

Instructor View

Instructors may have additional roles that influence their dashboard view.

Admin-Instructor Role

If the Instructor also holds the Admin role:

  • They will see the Admin panels and have access to both views.

Instructor-Only Role

If the user holds only the Instructor role:

  • Their landing page defaults to the Instructor Panel.

  • The Switch to Learner button will not be available.

In this case, the Instructor Panel serves as the user's dashboard

The menu is limited to Instructor functions, as defined by roles and permissions set in Configuration.

  • Use the Home button at the top left of various module screens to return quickly to the dashboard.
