KB529 | GyrusAim Learning Cloud Dashboard for Admin

KB529 | v17 | GyrusAim Learning Cloud Dashboards

This article is for v17.x of the GyrusAim LMS application.

Summary

The GyrusAim dashboard is the landing page for all users in GyrusAim.  The dashboard is configured based on the roles assigned, permissions assigned to the roles and permissions section under the configuration menu, and individual widget configuration. The Dashboard provides helpful navigation to various areas of the tool.

Admin View:

The Dashboard image is the default view prior to making any adjustments to your widgets. The GyrusAim Learning Cloud Dashboard is organized into Panels that contain similar or related functions. These functions include Quick Setup, Analytics, AI Maintenance, Current Status, and Training Requirements for the organization.

There is also navigation across the top to use the Global Search, switch to Learner view, launch the Wizard, view help docs in the Knowledgebase Library, view the Classroom Calendar, view messages, and manage Account Settings.

Select the Rubik's cube icon below the Profile Menu to see all available widgets for the Dashboard. Toggle left to remove the widget and toggle right to add the widget to your Dashboard. You can also reset your widgets back to the default from here.

Click the 3-Bar icon at the top left to open the Navigation Menu for direct access to all the tools and modules the Admin needs.  Use the drop-down arrows on headings within the menu to expand that section for related options.

The Manage section of the Navigation Menu contains links to Manager and Instructor Panels if those roles are assigned as well:

The Admin can click the Switch to Learner toggle button on the top menu bar to access all the learner tools and modules.  (Clicking Switch to Admin from Learner view returns the user to the Admin dashboard.)

Learner View:

  • The My Learning panel provides  a quick overview of due trainings and pending assigned learning.
  • My Accomplishments shows a summary of your completed trainings.
  • The Assigned panel shows your upcoming assigned trainings, and provides an action button for each if appropriate. From this tab, at the bottom on the panel, you can click View All Learnings to jump to your Individual Development Plan (IDP) and see all assigned trainings. If any trainings are started but not finished, an ‘In-Progress’ tab appears where each can be resumed by clicking the RESUME button. The Recommended tab on this panel offers system recommendations based upon frequent usage in your system – these trainings may be available but are not assigned to you as requirements. From this tab, you can click Explore All Courses at the bottom to jump to the Course Catalog, where you can see any trainings the system admin has allowed to display in the catalog.  NOTE: Learner view is the only view from which you can access the Course Catalog.
  • The My Badges panel appears if Gamification is enabled by the admin for your system, and shows any badges earned as well as the Badge Leaderboard, including total points earned and number of badges.

Click the 3-Bar icon at the top left to access the Navigation Menu. The Navigation Menu provides direct access to the different learner modules needed, and to the course catalog:

In Learner view, these are the same areas a student sees upon logging in.

Instructor View

If an Instructor also has the Admin role, they will see the above panels, however, if they have only the Instructor role and no Student role, their landing page goes directly into the Instructor Panel, with no Switch to Learner button:

In this case, the Instructor Panel serves as the user’s dashboard.

The Navigation menu will be limited to functions of the Instructor, as defined by Roles and Permission’s in Configuration:

If needed, separate help articles to learn about the sections in the Navigation Menu are available via search in our Knowledgebase Library, accessed via the ‘?’ at the top right of your dashboard.

Note, you can click the Home button at the top left of your various module screens to easily return to your dashboard.
